OH8K will now stop continuous activation of rare squares. During 8 years we have drove over 65 000 km, visited 73 different squares totally 131 times. Meteor scatter QSOs worked nearly 5000! The club thanks all stations working us for the co-operation. HQ8R Swan Islands 2008 DXpedition (GRID EK86) is the brainchild of HR2J Javier, he came up with the original idea of activating the islands and has received the support of Radio Club de Honduras and its members in this adventure (refer to the Current News) we plan on using this site to share information, raise funds and promote DX and ham radio in general. The Swan Islands are a chain of three islands located in the Caribbean Sea, approximately 185 statute miles east of port of Castilla off the coastline of Honduras, with a land area of 8 km² the archipelago consists of three islands: Great Swan (3 km long, 5.5 km²) home to HQ8R - Little Swan (2.4 km long, 0.5 km wide, 2.5 km²) - Booby Cay (90 meters long, 70 m off the southwest corner of Great Swan, <0.01 km²) - there are as well talks about 2m EME meantime...

Operators Axel, DH8AK, Sebastian, DO6ELW, Dirk, DK4DJ and Henning, DK9LB will be active as homecall/p from Fehmarn Island from March 14-21st. They will also activate two lighthouses: Marienleuchte: Old Tower (ARLHS FED-151) and Marienleuchte - New Tower (ARLHS FED-016, WLOTA LH-0637). Activity will be 80-10 meters, SSB, PSK31 and 2m SSB. Alex RW1ZC/MM will be qrv again south African coast (ZS1 area) from late dec.2007 for abt. 7 month. He will be on 2m on 144.300 MHz looking for TEP in spring equinox. Also trying EME in JT65B with a 3wl antennas and hopefully a PA this time. He will also try 23cm Tropo to ZS.

KC6SEH will be roving during the ARRL January VHF contest, 19-21. Activating 11 grinds on 4 bands (2m SSB, 1.25m FM, 70cm SSB, 6m SSB). We will start Saturday morning at the corner of DM05,CM95,DM06,CM96 working all four grids. Then head north on I-5 for CM97 and CM98. Plans are to end Saturday in CM98.  Sunday morning will head north for CM88,CM98,CM99,CM89,CN90 and CN80. Depending on time may work CN80,CM89 and CM88 as we head home.

Dave, G1OCN (VP8CLE) and Carol, 2E1DQZ (VP8DKW) will be active from different locations in the Falkland Islands (SA-002) between 19 January and 2 February. Our friend and "article translator" Al, UA6GC, is meantime qrv with
4 times 13el antennas (14dbd each) and around 500W from LN24 via Moon.
Few more stations build antennas in these cold winter. So in some
weeks will be Oleg RN6BL (KN95), Gena RW6HD (LN15), Alex RA6FA (LN24),
Yuri RW6HM (LN14), and Al at his second position in LN14 in the air!

Czech Republik on 4m - The Czech PTT has announced that very soon
20 special 4m permits will be granted. QRG range 70.2- 70.3 MHz,
10 W ERP, all  modes. The licences will be valid untill Dec 31st 2008.
Depending on the experiences in 2008 there are  good chances for a

JA1JRU will try to setup an EME expedition as DX0EME from 16th to
18th of february on 6m and 2m with JT65. JA1RJU kazu arrived in
Manila yesterday. He go to QRV QTH at 16 afternoon and QRV start
16 night(local time) maybe 14 or 15z I think. He will access N0UK.

from the VP5JM 'Hamlet' on Providenciales (NA-002), Turks,
Caicos Islands, including a Single-Op/All-Band entry in the

VQ58V. Outside the contest Dave will be QRV 160-6m (including
WARC bands), using CW and SSB. On 6m they will use a M2

Ross, VK1UN, getting qrv on EME soon from Afghanistan (MM57) on 2m
and 6m EME. The old YA prefix is no longer in use, so T6 is now the
official prefix of Afghanistan. Ross, T61AA has been active on
20m SSB today, for approx 60 minutes. His QTH is Faizabad.

Nevada with gd takeoff to south (poor for EU). As well he plans to

The VK6 DX Chasers Club, a sub-group of the Northern Corridor Radio
Group, is pleased to announce its next island expedition to Faure
Island, in Shark Bay, Western Australia. The group will be active
from the island from March 26th to April 1st, using the callsign,
VK6FAU. Activity will be SSB, CW and the Digital modes on
80-6 meters. They will also try 160m.

Operators Peter/K8PT and Craig/K3PLV will be operating from the
Isle of Man as MD/K8PT and MD/K3PLV at the contest station of
GD6IA from March 19-21st. They will then trek on to Jersey and

  NEW FOUR BEACON ON 70 MHZ FROM GUNIA BISSAU
The SV2DCD blog carries a report that J5FOUR is a new 70 MHz 4 meter
beacon is now operational from Guinea-Bissau. According to CT1FFU, the
J5FOUR beacon came to life on March 10th using 20 watts out to a 4
element yagi designed by YU7EF specifically for this project. The
antenna is beaming 20§ to cover all Europe.

DEPARTING SUNSPOT: Big and old, sunspot 988 is approaching the sun's
western limb where it could put on a show as it goes over the horizon.
For the next 24 hours or so, any magnetic filaments springing from
the sunspot's core will appear in glowing relief against the black

Z3/OK1DFC & E7/OK1DFC LATEST NEWS via 432 Newsletter Vol 36
This month I will be testing a new portable 3.2 m mesh dish with an
SPID AZ/EL rotator and tracking software from GM4JJJ. On 432 I will
have a 1.5 kW K1FO PA and on 1296 with 800 W from my YL1336 driver
amp. I will use a septum feed for 23 cm with a G4DDK VLNA, and on
432 MHz dual dipole and NE325 VLNA. I plan to test the whole setup
in May. I will have available a web page with more details soon.
I still do not have the dates fixed but I expecting to be in Z3
the first weekend in June and during week move to E7 for two days.
I will be QRV on each band for only one EME window because time
pressure. I will be QRV primary on CW and by request on JT65

Our VHF Group will activate an special station (T42UJC) from april
3 to april 5. The station will be here in Habana, in a 12 floor
building, just in front of the Ave. Malecon, a little more than
50 meters from the shore with more than 120 degrees free view over
the Golf. T42UJC will be active on 6m, 2m and 70 cms ssb. 100 watts
in 6 and 2m and 25w in 70 cms. Vertical antemna in 6m, a 12 elements
yagi in 2m and a 17 elements yagi in 70 cms. Will be active also in
40m and 20m. In 20m mostly in RTTY and PSK31. Hope to CU, Oscar, CO2OJ

attend the SARL AGM. Will be active from the station of Nico ZS4N
in grid KG30CU. Plan to return 17 April 2008 to Mossel Bay. Hope

Aruba, P4OZB. Postponed.
Due to medical problems the April 16-24 P40ZB expedition by K9WZB,
Garry, and K7WZB, Sharon, to Aruba has been postponed. Sharon broken
her leg. The two will now go from May 6th to 15th. Activity will be
on 7, 14, 18, 21, 28 and 50 MHz on CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via K9WZB.

Dennis, K7BV will be QRV as 5J0M from San Andres Island (NA-033,
WLOTA LH-2990, WW Loc EK92DM) between June 28th and July 6th.
This will be a 6 meter only DXpedition. He will use a FT-450
with ACOM-1000 amplifier, running 1KW into a 7 element and 3 element
beam. The main frequency will be 50.106.2 MHz USB and /B. The pilot
station will be Pat, W5OZI. QSL direct only to W1JJ (QRZ.com).

Povodom godisnjice leta prvog covjeka u svemir, Yuri Gagarina, NASA organizuje
EME aktivnost na Moffet Field, California u subotu Aprila 12.
Bice postavljene dvije EME postaje, na 2M i 23cm.
Frekvencija na 2M za JT mode je 144.115MHz, i 1296.020MHz na cw.
Bice koristen NASA pozivni znak NA6MF i bice stampane prigodne QSL.
Operational time 12PM to 02AM PST.

prije nekih 1sat i 30 minuta uspjesno je uspostavljen kontakt izmedju NA1SS i 9a7p Radiokluba Pazin. tj. ISS school contact uz nazocnost 100 djece i odraslih te nekoliko TV ekipa.

Bilo mi je zadovoljstvo provesti vrijeme na Netu, sa zanimljivim diskusijama,
i medju starim prijateljima.Nalazim da je net odlican, da ga vode pametni ljudi
i da sluzi namjeri odnosno popularizaciji RA u Hrvatskoj.
Vec duze vremena sam primjetio Marjanov vrlo ruzan i neukusan nacin
komunikacije.
Nemam namjeru da se upustam na Marjanov balkanski pritivizam, i ulazim u
diskusije koje nemaju nikakav znacaj, nego samo srozavaju ugled neta.
Moje vrijeme je dragocjeno, pa ga ne zelim uludo trositi na Marjana i
zbog toga se necu vise javljati.

Prije svega komplimenti grande.... RK Pazin te svima članovima kluba koji vode uspješno čijeli pogon...! Bravo ljudi ! tako se radi sa omladinom...i ako od onih cura i dečki ostane dvoje u našim redovima to je uspjeh...? ( kada sam ja počeo sa svime time bilo nas je oko 30 ......ja ću ovo ja ono ..mi  storit..položit ...napravit..it.d.     ostalo nas je dvoje...9A2CK...Rajko ( koji je sve napusti prije par godina ::??) und ich..? A to sam i idućih godina vidio...masa ljudi ..i uvijek dvoje-troje ostane i postane...! Tako je to ! Tja..! Čini mi sa da je RK Pazin jedan od najačih u Zemlji...bez buke i halabuke postižu rezultate...bravo momci..! ( iako su kratkovalni) 73 da Fiume ! Gorane nemoj nas ostaviti....nema svrhe..ta svi smo tu uvijek i svega pišemo..od teknike najviše..toga nema ni na jednoj RA stranici...u Zemlji..nemoj slučajno na HRS Web...?...Tamo nema ovoga...nego neka politika i mudrovanja koja normalan ne čita..ima par primjeraka RA  ..ma nisu to RA nego zalutali..poslao ih tata u RK...Kuj k.... nisu išli u foto klub  ..foklor..ili sakupljati salvete nego bljezgaraju po HRS-stranici a od  radija znaju samo spravu uštekat te stisnuti ptt...bah...za fare rigolleto ( ne opera Josipa Zelenkovića nego to je izraz iz moje mladosti kada smo počeli cugat ..pa para nije bilo previše..pa u "konobe"  (bilo ih je u Rijeci masu..svaki Dalmatinsko-otočki proizvodjač vinčine imao je jednu pa dojdeš sa bocom i nalije ti litru..pa iza kantuna se poloče ta smjesa...za hrabrost ići na ples ..ccc tamo cure jeli ? ah tako je to bilo ...pa poslje po Ajer-konjaku..i naravno muka i "RIGOLLETO"  še kapi adešo ? Ok skrenuto sa teme ...Hebiga...Vratimo se TEKNIKI I svemu ovome zanimljivom....što nas drži skupa...!---NAŠE STVARI---- ? Davno sam pročitao u RA časopisu..tamo prije 40-50 godina..UKV je za napredne RA (ništa osobno kako kaže killer u filmu i upuca klijenta)...Vidimo se u Kraljevici ! Bla !
